Earlier this week, I was asked to do a term paper on the universal concept of love, something every other person can relate to, something that has to be felt in order to make one understand its true meaning.

In the course of writing the above mentioned term paper, I found myself thinking, psychology that’s deals with a person’s inner mind and soul is a very sensitive topic and I had to dig deep to write on such a common and public issue as love. Therefore I’ve decided to write an outline for students and researchers on how to tackle such a research paper or term paper. One has to keep in mind that when dealing with Psychology the human face has to be always kept in front. We are not involved with a scientific experiment that we may layout certain hard core facts and figures or justify a reaction with a well-balanced equation.

We need to understand that mankind is an impossible race to deal with, we cannot always make them understand what we perceive and not everyone can embrace the bitter reality bites.

In order to write term paper on such a topic, we need to ask the following three questions to the readers and try our best to answer them in such a comprehendible manner, that it may be acceptable to even the strongest of opponents:

a) Are you ready to at least listen to the other side?
b) Will you be able to comprehend the basic changes?
c) And last but certainly not the very least are you susceptible to broken illusions?

When it comes to psychology men fall prey to illusions, whereby they strive themselves to expand their capacity procuring contentment and bliss. It is the course of this battle with oneself that one needs to have a clear and accepting vision, this where we writers step in, we need to come up with such real life examples and situations that the reader may relate to them easily or at least can visualize a sense of connection.

We must also make certain not to in any way, present our personal prejudices on the topic or any caste, creed, color engaged in the conversation. We must present everything on a neutral platform although delivering the message between the lines.
Another aspect to this kind of material is the commonly observed element of denial, one may read and nod to your points but it is not obligation that he or she will embrace to the new facet out in front.

We need to understand that every human being is different from the rest and that not everyone will be able to maximize their potential towards the points laid ahead. We must there fore relieve the readers with the sense of pride and honor that comes with individualism.

We must not forget that in spite of a billion sea shells lying beneath the Pacific Ocean, each Pearl to emerge is uniquely exquisite and this is how God meant it to be. And when dealing with the mankind, we must always let them know, of their ‘Separate Identity’ and what comes with the territory, and this way when you reader walks out with a smile on his face, you may sit back and applaud yourself, of a writer’s greatest achievement – Reader’s Acceptance!
