The most contemporary issue
in the recent history that has helped the media industries grow
to a much larger audience is the mass spread of evil. To
understand this seemingly intangible fact, the core definition
of evil is necessary. In the older times evil was usually
associated with the satanic acts that people used to do or in
more general terms the darker side to every human being. Though
this concept hasn’t changed all that much but the form of evil
has certainly changed. This diversified world is composed of
several cultures all mingling with each other in one form or the
other via media, entertainment or any other industry. This
saturation of cultures have produced a great number of
individuals and groups that perform certain activities that are
either harmful for the global society or a particular nation.

The word “freedom” has most often been misused and disguised for
personal advantages by either the governments or the giant
corporates that aren’t helpful to anyone. To exemplify this fact
the most common medium, which spreads violence and negative
thoughts are movies, violent TV shows, bias news media, Internet
and etc. Though we love watching these TV shows and movies but
no one cares about the after effects of such negative morals
that propagate through these mediums.
To turn towards a more vigorous and more physical form of evil
that exist in our society is the wars and it doesn’t matter
where the wars are taking place, still the innocents die. The
recent events of September 11, 2001 that changed the course of
history for years to come are an excellent example of the mass
anti-humanization and brutal killings of the innocent. Thousands
of people lost their lives in the name of religion or so it is
conveyed by the news media. The American Government took a
decision almost immediately by declaring war upon the terrorists
who attacked the American territory. The terrorists are still
free nonetheless that “War on Terrorism” agenda did frighten a
lot of groups but still the roots of terrorism are growing.
This was among the most violent events that happened in the last
5-6 decades and the need to find out the reasons for this event
was necessary yet the Government wasn’t interested in that
instead they bombarded Afghanistan and killed innocent people
labeling them casualties of war. This is not how the evil can be
stopped and destroyed in fact it spreads even more. In the last
20 years millions of innocent people have died in Kashmir,
Palestine and Iraq yet no one takes notice of them. These
killings have to be stopped and politicians should not
jeopardize the lives of innocent people for political reasons.

Humans have always longed for power and domination and this fact
is not a new phenomenon, it has existed since this world was
created. In the modern times this concept has taken a new
dimension and the power struggle has shifted to governments and
corporate giants. The 3rd world countries are being ruled by the
corporate banks and other giants. In Africa alone people die
because the industries and other financial institutions in the
developed world have captured their natural resources. It is
hard to believe that in one country people are dying because of
less food and in another part of the world huge amount of food
is wasted because their people don’t like to eat food which is a
day old.
This is evil in its cruelest form
and its none other than we humans who are spreading it. This
world has become such a difficult place to survive in and it’s
hard to see all the innocent people die in front of our naked
eyes. There is no one to blame but ourselves and only we can
make it work in the right direction. This is only possible when
all the people start caring about each other and the future of
this world. We should forget our differences and work for the
betterment of humanity and only then we could be proud of
ourselves for the cause of global healing.
